We would like to thank parent carers for continuing to support OxPCF, alongside their often-challenging role in caring for their children and young people. The very valuable role that they play in providing feedback and engaging with our surveys and consultation requests, cannot be over-emphasised.
OxPCF takes their responsibility to ensure that the voices of parent carers are heard seriously. Where we spot common themes or areas of difficulty, we collate that information and share it with the local authority to inform positive change and help to shape improvement initiatives.
It has become evident over recent times that a high number of parent carers are experiencing extreme difficulty in ensuring that their child or children with SEND accesses education. As a result, we have produced the below report and distributed it to the appropriate individuals at the local authority. We will share any response received, and continue to work positively and co-productively with the local authority to drive improvements.
