We are now able to welcome new members to the OxPCF volunteering team.

As many of you know, after the Ofsted SEND Inspection in July 2023, OxPCF's responsibilities have grown significantly. While we take pride in being the formal channel for parent carer voices in Oxfordshire and facilitating parent engagement with the Local Area Partnership, the increased demand has stretched our team of volunteers.

To sustain our involvement in the SEND Transformation Programme with the Local Area Partnership at the desired level and to ensure the continued representation of the parent carer voice in Oxfordshire, we are urgently seeking additional volunteers. There are various ways in which parent carers in Oxfordshire can contribute.

If you, or someone you know, can spare 1-2+ hours a week during term time, we encourage you to consider joining us. Your participation can truly make a significant difference, and we warmly welcome volunteers of all skill levels. Rest assured, training and support will be provided to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident in their roles.

Below, you'll find further information about the forum and opportunities to get involved:

About Us: OxPCF is an impartial, independent body led by parent carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), alongside a part-time forum manager and community co-ordinator.  Our mission is to ensure that every disabled child and young person has the same opportunities and experiences as their non-disabled peers.

What We Do: We collaborate with the Local Area Partnership (LAP) and other services to ensure that the voices of SEND families in Oxfordshire are central to decision-making processes. We advocate for necessary changes in local services and celebrate successes.
