SEND Connect: SEND Home-toSchool and College Trave- Questions, Answers and Next Steps

 

This SEND Connect session took place on 16 September 2026 as part of our regular SEND Connect series.

​

Hosted online by Oxfordshire Parent Carers Forum (OxPCF) via Microsoft Teams, the session brought together parent carers and representatives from Oxfordshire County Council to discuss SEND home-to-school and college travel arrangements.

​

The session explored the difficulties families had experienced at the start of the academic year, how the Supported Travel process works, outstanding transport arrangements, communication with families, Personal Travel Budgets (PTBs) and the improvements being made.

​

Parent carers also had the opportunity to ask questions directly and share their experiences.

Following the session, OxPCF raised 17 additional questions with OCC, and their written responses have now been included in our updated blog.
