We're pleased to share our Early Years SEND Childcare Survey Report, which is now available to read.
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey and share their experiences. By telling us about your childcare journeys, you've helped build a much clearer picture of what is working well for families in Oxfordshire, as well as the barriers many children with SEND continue to face when accessing and staying in early years childcare.
The report was presented to the SEND Improvement and Assurance Board (SIAB) on 15 June, where the findings and key recommendations were discussed by partners from education, health and social care. These will help shape ongoing work through the local SEND Reform Programme, including the development of better support for children and families transitioning into Early Years settings.
The report will return to SIAB in six months' time, when partners will review the progress made against the recommendations and the actions taken in response.
Your experiences have directly influenced this work, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed. We will continue to work with parent carers and partner organisations to make sure your voices remain at the heart of improvements to SEND services across Oxfordshire.
