This webinar “Supporting Your Child Through School Transitions" took place on 1st July 2026 as part of our SEND Connect series.

Hosted by OxPCF online via Microsoft Teams, the webinar was delivered by Rachel Morrison, service manager for the Oxfordshire SENSS Communication & Interaction (C&I) team, and Lorraine Davis, area manager for SENSS C&I in the north of Oxfordshire. They chatted to us about the primary to secondary transition process for children with SEND. They explored how to prepare children for changes of all kinds, strategies for managing anxiety and uncertainty, the support schools may be able to provide, and what to do if you have concerns about your child's transition arrangements.
