working with sendiass

We have been working jointly with SENDIASS on two projects:

SEND GUIDANCE HANDBOOKS

In 2014, Oxfordshire parent carer forum worked alongside  parents, SENDIASS, teachers and the Local Authority to produce handbooks that would be freely available on the Local Offer to families and schools.

These books can be used by parents and teachers, as a starting point to identify need and help tailor support for children and young people who may require extra support in school.

The links below are to the current guidance handbooks but these are currently under review and will be replaced by updated versions in the very near future.

SENDIASS INFORMATION LEAFLETS FOR FAMILIES

Following our recent question and answer session in July 2020 on SEND support in school, OxPCF co produced with SENDIASS a leaflet outlining what to expect from schools and how to start conversations with them, if you were concerned.

A second leaflet on what a good EHCP should look like will be available very soon.

The link below will take you to an advice page for parent Carers of children with SEN. You will find many  information pages, that will hopefully provide you with the help you need.

If not, you can contact SENDIASS Oxfordshire directly.
